Following its successful debut last year, the second "Reflex Expert Talk" took place on July 16 and 17, 2024, in Munich.
This specialized event attracted numerous experts from the fields of district heating, heating systems, and planning, who engaged in in-depth discussions on sustainable energy supply solutions.
Central to the discussions were key topics such as the planning and implementation of sustainable district heating networks, the challenges within the industry, and available funding options and political frameworks.
Tobias Messmann, Managing Director of Winkelmann Renewable Energy GmbH, addressed the importance of energy self-sufficiency and mobile heating options in local heating networks. Florian Füssner, Head of Product Management and Technical Sales at Sinusverteiler GmbH, presented innovative approaches for thermal energy storage and sustainable hybrid systems. Additionally, Gunnar Maaß and Tobias Roth from AGFW provided insights on current legislation and the transformation of municipal heat planning.
On the second day, Linda Liebl and Theo Körper from Munich’s public utility company, Stadtwerke München, reported on recent developments in geothermal energy. AGFW Managing Director Werner Lutsch spoke about the future of district heating and the challenges associated with it. Dr. Stefanie Reil from Gammel Engineering discussed the path to greenhouse gas-neutral district heating, while Markus Lintl from Orcan Energy explored the flexible use of district heating for electricity generation during summer. Marian Zengerle from AGO GmbH Energie + Anlagen highlighted the potential of heat pumps using natural refrigerants.
The Reflex Expert Talk will continue in 2025 in a different region of Germany.
